Aids in maintaining healthy Estrogen metabolism and in providing antioxidants for the maintenance of good health
ECG Naturals' Lycobinol™ is a proprietary formulation of Indole-3-Carbinol (I3C), Lycopene and broccoli powder. Each capsule contains 200mg of Indole-3-Carbinol, as well as 20mg of Lycopene. These ingredients are derived from naturally occurring cruciferous vegetables and carotenoid containing plants; which have been shown to maintain healthy hormone levels in the body. In order to get the equivalent of 200mg Indole-3-Carbinol (I3C), you would need to eat five whole cabbages!
ECG Naturals' Lycobinol™ is manufactured with GMP in accordance with the outlines made by Health Canada, and is licensed under Health Canada's NNHPD. Lycobinol™ 's active ingredients Indole-3-Carbinol (99%+) and Lycopene are derived from a natural source. The gelatin capsules used in Lycobinol™ is derived from a 100% beef source.
Indole-3-Carbinol also known as I3C is a concentrated powder extract from the Cruciferious vegetables which is found in Broccoli, Cabbage, Brussel Sprouts, Turnips and Cauliflower. Indole-3-Carbinol (I3C) is shown to balance the two main chemical forms of the hormone estrogen - 'estradiol' and 'estriol'. 'Estradiol' is a particularly potent form of estrogen that's been strongly linked to certain diseases, unlike the weaker form 'estriol'. Indole-3-Carbinol may stimulate the conversion of Estradiol to its inactive (safe) metabolite, 2-Hydroxyestrone, and inhibits the conversion of Estradiol to its carcinogenic metabolite, 16-Hydroxyestrone. Over the past few years, research has shown that supplementing with Indole-3-Carbinol (I3C) can reduce 'estradiol' levels and increase those of 'estriol'. Indole-3-Carbinol (I3C) is also a potent antioxidant which may help ward off age-related disease.
Lycobinol™ also contains Lycopene, which contains powerful antioxidants known as carotenoids (found in tomatoes, guava, watermelon and pink grapefruit). Carotenoids work to protect against some serious diseases and aging-related diseases by acting as an antioxidant to counteract damaging effects of free radicals in tissues. Lycopene is one of the major carotenoids found in human blood and tissues, and is found primarily in the liver, prostate, breast, colon, and lung.
